Hold My Hand {bag}

slide1

You may have seen our Scandalous Lover bags that arrived a few days ago. The sheet music in the photo is actually a song I wrote in the third grade. I liked to compose music and lyrics back then, and came across this song that my piano teacher accused my tone-deaf Dad of writing for me. Sherie Coleman was the nom de plume I had to come up with to enter a competition. It was my great grandmother's surname and Sherie was the name 7-year-old-me was in love with. I wasn't happy about all the "hey did you marry Joe?" jokes and since my parents nixed the idea of changing my name to first Sherie and then Mari Jo {with a heart over the i}, I had to settle for giving our poodle the middle name of Sherie - pronounced Cherie with a French accent of course. But the autumn breeze, that stuck with me.

Anyway, it's that time...Fall's just around the corner and I've been busy lately stocking up our store with our new line of Fall 13/Winter 14 pleasures like the new Scandalous Lover Shopper. Thought I'd share a few little peeks with you and hoping you will understand why I've been absent these last few weeks :)

Then there's the black calf hair pieces that just arrived which are also pretty tempting. To be honest, this zip clutch has been driving me crazy because I want it for me but am going to have to wait until we get more in stock.

Last, but not least, there's our new Scandalous Lover Tartan Wallet plus a few more goodies coming soon.

I'm not sure with what I'm impressed more dear Mary Jo - with that gorgeous, yammy bag (what a beautiful rich colour!) or with your talents! You compose, you paint, you design bags! Mary Jo you're truly inspiring!

I'm somehow not surprised to discover one more of your artistic talents, Mary Jo. The stingray clutches are exquisite and cobalt blue paired with black looks fantastic! I hope I will see one of them on the Red Carpet soon. :) And I think I have a crush on the calf hair clutch too.

Love the bags. Shame it is so difficult to import products into the UK from the States.

Mary Jo, your new line is absolutely gorgeous! I can't get over you composing music. That is genius!!! I played the piano, but I can't even fathom writing music. I'm so impressed! You are TALENTED! :D

Holy shit, third grade!? Why didn't I know of this secret talent of yours??

You cracked me up with that intro. The name change thing is priceless - heart over the 'i' - hahaha. From now on I may have to call you 'Cherie' Mari Jo ;-)

I was just thinking about it when I first saw the photo that either you had taken it at some friend's house or the sheet music was yours. I love it that you were composing music so young. And I love the name of the song - perfect for your new collection!

The new pieces are incredibly beautiful ... that zip clutch ... oh my, how badly I want it! I think there are now like 8 pieces from you on my wish list!!! One day, Cherie Mari Jo, one day, some of those will be mine ;-)
