Last Monday TrustYourStyle highlighted some of our favorite style bloggers from Romania, Belgium and Australia. Today rounds out Trust Your Style's chic blogger's and their fall obsessions. I think you'll agree, these ladies are nothing if not a mix of style and grace.
One of the things I love most about the blog world is getting to know stylish people around the globe; it makes the fashion dictates of southern California and even the U.S. seem less pressing, and keeps my mind open to possibilities. I also believe that when you see someone being true to their own style, it helps sort out what resonates as most true for your own style.
Because of my self-imposed spending freeze; one that I'm actually sticking to this season, my 2012 fall obsession is one that didn't cost me a dime. I am mad about the black cherry lip, the mulberry lip, or the wine-stained lip as I've seen them all aptly named. I first spied it on the Gucci runways last spring for their Fall 2012 collection. Pat McGrath did a super dark, raspberry matte berry lip that had me gaga for darker days to sport this moodier pout. I like hourglass lip stain in plum for its staying power and deep color. I guess I'm lucky, I get to wear my fall obsession every day.
My favourite fall obsession is my 'biker' style jacket. I have had it for a few years now and it is by a Parisian designer called Sylvie Schimmel… I bought it on a whim in France… I fell in love with the simple style and the softness of the leather… I had always wanted a leather jacket but a plain one without too much embellishment… and this one is perfect for me… It is so comfortable, pliable and easy to wear… it just gets better and better. I throw it on with anything… over a tee shirt dress, like I am wearing here, or with my jeans and a shirt.. I have even worn it over a formal evening dress… It is one of those pieces that I always travel with… it is the 'little black jacket in my wardrobe… My extravagant buy this season are these shoe boots from Christian Louboutin… They are super comfortable… the heel is not so high that I can't walk around in them and they work with pretty much everything I wear. There is something about a heel that makes me feel 'dressed'… And I seem to live in these or Converse… The bag… so cute, so old fashioned with it's drawstring closing… I borrowed it from my daughter… it is one of her favourites…
My favourite Fall item is always tights. Fall always reminds me why I love them so much. Here, I'm wearing purple floral ones from Jonathan Aston under a peplum dress, the day was a little breezy, but with the tights, I was perfectly warm. I think they're great because they come in so many designs, styles and thickness's, so whatever the weather, you can wear them and still keep warm or cool. I have a drawer full of them to go with dresses or shorts during the fall season. You can get statement tights or jazz up a neutral outfit, I have ones with hearts, stripes, in pink, burgundy, turquoise, all kinds of colours and styles. I could never get through fall without them, since I'm someone who wear dresses and skirts on an every day basis.

On a recent shopping trip, I stopped into my favorite local boutique, Oliver and Lilly's, and instantly fell for one of Heidi Merrick's signature Fall 2012 pieces: The Jeffrey overcoat. Perhaps what I appreciate most about a gorgeous coat is that it can instantly transform an entire look, and add both a chic and cozy layering quality. Taking inspiration from classic menswear, this bold coat offers an easy fit, with dropped shoulder seams, and chic pockets at the sides. It also is incredibly flattering over some of the season's favorite bottoms: patterned and leather pants. Moreover, the element that truly takes the otherwise simple coat up a notch is the bold and vibrant teal lapels -- adding a bit of brightness to even the most dreary of days, (which we have come to expect in Vancouver!) and is also perfectly complimentary to the beautiful golden Autumn leaves of the season…
I hope you enjoyed finding out about the Fall obsessesions of these beautiful bloggers as much as I did, Each one is so uniquely stylish in their own signature way!
Now I have to ask: what is your Fall fashion obsession?

I think at I'm generally obsessed with jackets, and knits no matter the season. Chunky knits are usually my fall obsession along with textured leg wear. Lovely feature on these stylish ladies. xx

The lipstick, the tights, those leather trousers, wow loving them all.
Mary Jo, I've always been inspired by street style and women feeling comfortable in what they wear and women true to their own individual style. They inspire you to be yourself and make your own style rules. Loving Katie's berry lipstick (I've been wearing this shade myself), Vicki's leather coat and boots and Sarah's two-toned coat. xo

I adore the outfit Vicki is wearing and am also so happy to see a photo of Sarah - she hardly ever posts her own pictures, which is a shame if you ask me - she is so gorgeous.

Me and Katie are loving the same trend - dark cherry/burgundy lips! Been mixing colors to find the right shade as well as using a lot of lip stains. I'm also loving leather but not sure that's a "trend" anymore but oh well hehe
Thank you for including me with such gorgeous girls Mary Jo... :) Happy Sunday... xv
