No matter how gorgeous or outrageous the trend, I think what's most interesting in fashion is how it's personalized. Signature style is what Trust Your Style is all about, so I thought it would be fun to share the Fall Fashion obsessions of some of my favorite style bloggers and see how they translate a trend and make it their own.
Ada of
Classiq wearing: Zara blazer, her husband's Tom Tailor t-shirt and a newsboy cap she's had for ages. {Romania}
The blazer is one of those indispensable pieces that hold our wardrobe together season after season and one that every woman should have in her closet. I love the sartorial quality of a well chosen blazer, the way it shapes your entire look once you put it on. My Zara blazer is my favourite fall obsession right now: in classic grey, with a perfect cut and contrasting lining that allows you to play a little with the styling. And this is one of my favourite ways of sporting it. It's really started to sound like a cliché coming from me, but jeans, blazer, t-shirt or shirt and a newsboy cap are a style staple for me, especially in autumn. It suits me, and that's what it all resumes to after all.
Caterina of
Not Just Another Pretty Dress wearing:
YSL jacket, COS white cotton top, Shourouk Metal Jicky necklace, Superdry jeans, Clarks Aintree Ticket in animal print, Bellerose clutch. {Belgium}
I have two fall wardrobe obsessions: costume necklaces and loafers. The first one is a 'classic' that has become a personal style trademark. I'm going to borrow a quote from NET-A-PORTER to describe the allure of these ornaments: "Whether you choose tassels, gobstopper gems or a metallic collar – statement jewelry is the easiest way to upgrade classics in an instant". This season we will see a lot of big, sparkling necklaces, especially by day, and a personal favourite is the quirky French label Shourouk. The 'new entry' on my wardrobe obsessions are loafers. I talked about my first slippers purchase in a recent post and, being a big fan of flat shoes, I was delighted to discover this model that can give you the chance to complete any outfit with a chic tomboy touch. From the Clarks Aintree Ticket in animal print I'm wearing in this post to the lovely Charlotte Olympia's Kitty Flats, the loafers wish list could be very long.
Jenee of Camo Meets Couture wearing: Ralph Lauren poncho and shoes purchased in Australia. {Australia}
What you see in this photo is me sporting my latest love, the black and white houndstooth poncho by Ralph Lauren. I purchased this recently from Nordstrom and I believe it is still available (also comes in two other colours). This Ralph Lauren houndstooth poncho is my new go-to piece for fall. It's so easy to wear and perfect for days when you don't feel like dressing up. You could even throw this over sweats and still look chic and pulled together.
p.s. I had to ask Jenee where she got her shoes and unfortunately the pair she's wearing were purchased in Australia, however she found a pair that was quite similar and even in this fall's hottest oxblood colour here.
I can't help but love how these ladies trust their style. Stay tuned for Signature Style Part 2!

I love seeing these bloggers interpretations and incorporations of trends!
Great post Mary Jo!!!
I love Caterina's style. Lady-like, witty and easy breezy.
Ah such great style all around. How can you not love that Ada??? Gorgeous!
Love the cape! I looked for one all last fall and finally gave up. I feel so behind the times because I can't even wear a jacket at night because of the heat, but if it ever cools off I'll be reaching for my blazer too!
All of these lovelies have great style, I especially love Houndstooth, and always adore a newsboy cap. Can one really have too many blazers? That's my weakness and signature love other than lace. xxoo
Three truly stunning ladies. I think I'm in love with Jenee's shoes. I also love seeing how other's personalize trends/looks. I am so ready for Fall fashion. The weather is still too warm in the afternoon and early evenings to truly start embracing it. Maybe in a few more weeks I will get to start wearing layers, tights, and blazers.

Loved this!! And really loved reading their tips as well! I love the part about the statement jewelry because I never really was a huge jewelry fan until I started blogging and then in looking at myself in photos I really saw what a huge difference jewelry can make.
