In the wake of the big Fall news: black, cobalt, red and gold, I love the surfacing of sub-trends. The hit of yellow popping up in many major collections is such a fun way to counterbalance the seriousness of the coming season and makes me happy.

I don't think anyone drives home the mellow yellow better than Diane von Furstenberg, the litmus test of what will actually be hitting the streets.

I really like the depth of this yellow. I have to be careful because it can make me look jaundice, but when I do find the right yellow it really does make me happy. And I may need that in my more wintery temps!!!!!!
