sedona bliss

Friday, May 18, 2012

Happy almost-weekend! I've been encamped in 11 acres of lush forested grounds since yesterday afternoon at L'Auberge de Sedona, and right now I'm wearing a fluffy robe with a postcard from view  from my bed, recovering from an hour and a half Stretch Massage that literally worked out every kink and unkind move that my favorite pilates/yoga taskmaster twisted me into earlier this week.

L'AUBERGESEDONA

Scenes from yesterday via my latest addiction, Instagam. Are we following each other yet? @trustyourstyle on both Instagram and twitter

Have I experienced the infamous Sedona vortex yet? Not exactly, but coming off the high of covering Archbishop Desmond Tutu and Robert Taylor's talk on Wednesday night on How To Be Happy, I'm not sure it's really necessary {and anyone who has experienced a luxe outdoor shower like the one in my suite has no reason not to be happy!} In a few hours I'll be helicoptering over Sedona's Red Rock splendor, then hiking in the Coconino National Forest. Is it bad that I'm already looking forward to napping by the pool in the late afternoon? Of course I'm sure I'll perk up in time for wine tastings followed by dinner at Open Range {think Sedona classic comfort food with a Southwest flair}.  There'll be more wine tasting and culinary goodness over the weekend and no doubt I will fly be rolled home in time for a contrite Monday appearance at Katie's bathing suit season bootcamp.

Before I leave you with our TYS Weekend Links, I want to give a big thank you to Coast Magazine for the lovely write up on my new handbag line!
