eye on style: maria-thérèse andersson

name: Maria-Thérèse Andersson
occupation: Art photographer and writer. I run my own business and mostly work via my website www.afiori.com.
location: Härnösand, Sweden
wearing: Pink tulle dress from Monki (I wear it a lot and find it easy to combine with other clothes for quite different looks), dance inspired t-shirt from BikBok, red shoes - gift from my mom, headpiece - also gift from my mom, from her recent trip to Turkey, gold bracelet - very dear gift from my grandmother and aunt from when I finished high school, beaded bracelet - gift from friends Karin and Anders, goes with a lot of outfits. Tights - I don't know; found them in my wardrobe.

wearing #2: Jumpsuit from H&M, my most recent purchase. It was $16! Black cardigan which I've had for ages. Butterfly tiara from Turkey and red shoes, gifts from my mom. Gakkenflex camera built by me.
favorite designers: Bea Szenfeld because of her imagination, her amazing creations which are not only clothes but wearable art (worn by Björk, for instance) and because her designs are animal friendly, no leather or fur. Also, she even creates incredible garments out of paper! Another designer that I like is Alexander McQueen for many of the same reasons, and I generally think life ought to be a little bit more like a fairy tale.
what style means to maria-thérèse: I think of style as another way of expressing myself, apart from writing and creating art, and also use it to change the way I feel. For instance, if I'm in a bad mood I put on something fun like a tiara or sparkly hair clips, a tulle dress or flowered boots. I try to make things fun. I have never felt the need to follow fashion. Instead, I just wear what I feel like wearing and experiment with putting outfits together in new ways. Sometimes I make my own clothes or alter ones I buy. I create a lot of stories in my head, all the time, and tend to come up with stories about my outfits as well, as if they are worn by somebody else.
Thank you Maria-Thérèse for stopping by! Wishing you a wonderful weekend and if you'd like to check out more Eye on Style guests, check out the right hand index under Eye on Style.

Hello, hello! So happy to be your guest!
She has an amazing, free-spirited and lovely style. Love seeing a soft pink with black, it looks so unexpected and chic and the hairgear is really cool. You have really peaked my interest now, will head on over and check out her site. Have a fabulous weekend, Mary Jo!
The pale pink tulle dress is so lovely and I love how she made it her own by pairing it with the black top. I also like that she uses fashion in a fun way (I certainly should do that more often, lol), to experiment and develop her style. :) Have a wonderful weekend, Mary Jo!
