This week's Eye on Style guest is Kimia, a trustyourstyle reader whose beautiful paintings caught my eye. After seeing Kimia's exotic locale on her blog Alkeemi, I had to know what she was doing in India.
"When my husband and I first met, we realized early on that we shared a passion for social and economic development, so moving abroad was always part of our plan. 3 weeks before our wedding he got a job offer with a microfinance research institution here in India, and we knew this was an amazing chance to live abroad and serve our global community together. For visa reasons we will probably need to leave India in about a year, but we are open and excited about what countries the future holds for us."

wearing: Top: Marc Jacobs (thrifted!), Tights: Urban Outfiters, Shoes: Anne Klein
favorite designers: I love the usuals, Marc Jacobs, Dian Von Furstenberg, Stella McCartney, etc., but I generally find they're just a little out of my price range. So I typically turn to thrift stores or smaller, less marketed designers like Dear Creatures, Nadinoo and Need Supply Co. The designers behind these clothes are incredibly talented and have a fantastic eye for updating the vintage looks from the 50s and 60s we all seem to be swooning over lately. Also their lookbooks are golden.
