Summer has officially launched in my part of the world. The tourists have descended, the beach is forgiving.

I spent the weekend fixing up my backyard, refinishing and re-upholstering my dining room chairs, picking up some fun things at the flea market and stripping a bench. Feeling sunburned but satisfied. In need of a nap and it's only Monday morning...

Sounds like a wonderfully productive weekend! I took in a movie/sushi date with hubby, planted pumpkins, visited the bookstore, and perused some of my magazines. It was relaxing. Have a great week!

Sounds like you had a very productive weekend. I finally was able to get out of town this weekend and it was so refreshing and much needed. I have to say, making sure to do that now and again is something I need always remember. Have a lovely Monday Mary Jo and thank you for your very kind comments last week. xo

It sounds like such a never-want-it-to-end weekend, Mary Jo. I'm thinking how fantastic it would be to be able to spend every summer weekend at the beach. These lovely images remind me of that. My weekend was filled with relaxation, away from the city and as I've extended it with half of a day, but now I'm already back on track. :)

Also want a nap. My 4 month old woke up at 1.30am...and she had been sleeping through the night previously. Le sigh. Those chair covers are beautiful!

i love that worked hard feeling...a sunburn wouldn't be bad either since it means i'd be getting tan at least!

Love the baby blue converses with the dress.

Very hot and humid here. And no beach to go to. I live in the mid-west.

Such great pics for this post.

We went to a wedding on Saturday and The Santa Monica Pier on Sunday. All in all a great weekend, but I got next to nothing done!
