eye on style: dyan from whimsy being

Today's Eye on Style guest is my blogging friend Dyan of Whimsy Being. If you haven't checked out her sweet blog, then hop on over because Dyan always has fun little inspirations that will brighten your day. We met up at Fashion Night Out this fall and had so much fun. occupation: Currently exploring a career in Physical Therapy
location: Greater LA Area
wearing: Printed shirt and sunglasses are from Ross. The gold belt (looks silver in the photo, but it's gold) I inherited from my grandma. Inherited items are my favorite! I pretty much live in these Forever21 jeans. I find myself wearing these orange Franco Sarto flats with almost everything, even if the shoes don't match the rest of the look.
style inspirations: Sharon Tate, Stephanie Seymour, Kate Moss, Jessica Alba and the Kardashians, Penelope Cruz in Vicky Cristina Barcelona, my grandma and mom
What style means to Dyan: I consider style a way to add a sense of confidence or an extra bounce to my step as I go about my day. I also think of style as a playful thing that's fun to mix up with current moods, feelings, and inspirations. I'm mostly comfortable in casual looks like jeans and simple shirts or sweaters, but find that I need statement pieces like bold necklaces or vintage earrings or something that makes me happy. I find it fun to incorporate trends into my current style, but feel trends don't define style. Style is more something that comes from within and is different for everybody.

I adore Dyan! Not only is she super fashionable but she's also an absolute sweetheart. I can't wait to meet both of you in person eventually! And I completely agree that style adds confidence. That right piece makes such a difference in my day.
