Eye on Style is back!

After a 9 month hiatus, I decided I was missing the Eye on Style series, especially since I have met so many stylish new friends during this time via twitter {yes twitter}! Lynne was one of my first twitter friends and I adore her wit and energy. Without further ado, please welcome Lynne Bruning, self-professed textile enchantress and lady with great style!

location: denver

occupation: textile and fashion designer

wearing: swim cap, safety goggles, favorite jewelry and favorite Old Gringo boots.

favorite designers: There are so many designers I admire, however I am a slave to texture. cashmere. silk. fine merino wools. 1950's alpaca sweaters hand knit in Peru. the weight of a dress embellished with beads and pearls. traditional handwoven Scottish plaids. heavy vintage silk dresses from Hong Kong. fringe! Frank Star Originals and vintage Pringles. Hudson Bay blankets. Oversized terry towels and pima cotton sheets. Belgian lace. Grandmother's Double Wedding Ring quilt. Italian gloves. velvet. feather boas. Even my favorite ratty 20 year old t-shirt makes the list.

Most of us spend 99.9% of our lives touching a textile.
Skin is your greatest sensory organ - make each moment a luxuriously memorable encounter.

what style means to Lynne: Style is a way of being. An attitude. Style is evolutionary however, certain items and personal traits become one's trademark. Style is being comfortable in your own skin.

Thanks so much Lynne for sharing a bit of your world! You can check out Lynne's fabulous work at lbruning.com P.S. please contact Lynne if you would like to use her images.

So glad eye on style is back! And Lynne is the perfect person to start it back up -- what spunk she has! I love what she said about style being evolutionary. It's so true.
