hard to say goodbye

We lost this brilliant designer last week, and like many, I'm still finding it hard to believe he's gone. I wrote a tribute to his handbags over here today. They were really something.
Alexander McQueen, we will miss you.

Beautiful words Mary Jo.
There is much sadness around those who shine so brilliantly and then are gone so quickly. It's as if they burn out much too fast. Alexander McQueen is but one of so many who have met this end, and yet he was such an individual. A voice that will most definitely live on.

I'll be honest...I'm still in shock. McQueen was an absolute genius. There is such a gaping hole in the fashion world now that he's gone. RIP. :(
Indeed he was an inspiration. And I love that he didn't take himself too seriously. And that he followed his own drummer. In fact...he was the drummer.
