Sorry for being absent much of the last few weeks. I haven't been feeling well and this probably added to my general malaise about fashion week. Honestly, I can't think of anything I would rather less be doing than running into crowded stores all dressed up and getting sticky food and drinks jostled on me while shopping, which is basically a jaded synopsis of Fashion Night Out, the kick-off to NY fashion festivities minus the Justin Timberlake sighting.

photo via Olsens Anonymous. p.s. if you like boho-rocker chic, check out their new jewelry line.

Usually I run pics of my favorite collections, but from what I've seen from the shows so far, everything is pale pink, gray and white--the color palette from my fall 09 collection--so for me, it's not that exciting. Hoping there will be some collections that really grab me in the next few days. The fashion/gossip columns are buzzing with the latest, and although I don't usually indulge here at tys, Sarah Leon's posts in T Magazine's The Moment, had me laughing. I thought I'd make an exception and share her recap of "all the fashion news of the week that's fit to reprint" below. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

{reprinted from The Moment}:

Armani, Giorgio
• Designed a couture bullfighting costume for the matador Cayetano Rivera Ordonez; the bull probably didn’t even appreciate it.

Banks, Tyra
• Is launching an online magazine in her continued efforts to become the next Oprah.

Davis, Kristin
• Canceled plans to show during New York fashion week, forcing the fashion world to ask: Kristin Davis had a clothing line?

eBay
• Rodarte for Target previews leaked in an editor’s attempt to make $10.

• Narcisco Rodriguez plans line exclusively sold on the site. What, Target wasn’t available for a collaboration?

• Harlow, Shalom
Bartended on Fashion’s Night Out for John Patrick’s line Organic in an apparent attempt to promote flapper dresses and apple juice.

Jackson, Michael
• His infamous sequined gloves are now available to the masses. Forever 21 hasn’t already knocked this off?

• His Neverland Ranch might be purchased by Christian Audigier of Ed Hardy. And we all thought Neverland couldn’t get any weirder. …

Jacobs, Marc
• Releases a line of skateboards. Prospective consumer: Aggy Deyn.

Lohan, Lindsay
• After months of rumors, appointed “artistic adviser” to Emanuel Ungaro, explaining Cortazar’s exit.
