beauty & glamour

Photo by Sofia Sanchez & Mauro Mongiello

I have a glamorous job. It is not fashion. Unless you think getting pattern pieces thrown at you by an irate handbag guy in a crack alley is glamorous. Or maybe being cursed out in Arabic for (politely) asking for the 15 heavy yards of ultrasuede to be put on a roll instead of bunched up and thrown into bag--perhaps that might be a bit more glamorous? No, probably best saved for cocktail banter.

Actually my work as a beauty editor is pretty glamorous but I rarely talk about it because I tend to think it's boring to everyone else but me and my poor readers who are subjected to my thoughts on a monthly basis. But in case you've ever been curious about what a beauty editor who has access to any product on the market and pretty much any spa in the world, actually uses on her own skin, then you can read all about it today. One of my favorite bloggers, the lovely and stylish Tina of Luphia Loves, has started {Beauty Tuesday} and invited me to be a guest. Click here to read more. Thank you Tina, it was fun!

Mary Jo, your interview was absolutely wonderful! So thoughtful and informative. But you know, now I'll be bugging you before buying new products! :)

Thanks so much Julia & Christina for stopping by & of course Tina for inviting me. Christina--bug away--I'm always happy to advise if I have any info. It's such a disappointment to buy something and then not have it be up to par, and yet so great when something turns out to be heavenly and you had no idea.
