i heart shoes

via Lolita

I was planning on writing about shoes today anyway and when I got word about the collaboration between Vivienne Westwood Anglomania + melissa, I had to show you. Hoping you heart shoes as much as I do!

Vivienne Westwood Anglomania + melissa INTRODUCE LADY DRAGON

Featuring Vivienne Westwood's signature heart, famously seen as the lapel of her Love jacket of Autumn/Winter 1987, Lady Dragon is the 3rd model of the ongoing collaboration between Vivienne Westwood Anglomania and melissa. A plastic peep-toe adjustable slingback, spring's bounciest, cutest shoe is $140.00 and comes in 5 colors: peach or lemon with black hearts, and pearly white, pastel blue or dove grey, all with red hearts.

Vivienne Westwood:"The most amazing thing about this partnership was to be able to create modern products of a very high quality, but at affordable prices".

"I believe plastic is only limited by a designer's creativity", says Edson Matsuo, melissa's Creative Director responsible for research and development.

Vivienne Westwood is just the latest collaborator with melissa, in a roll-call of designers who include: Zaha Hadid, Judy Blame, Alexandre Herchcovitch, Karim Rashid, and The Campana Brothers.

Vivienne Westwood Anglomania + melissa Lady Dragon is available from all Vivienne Westwood Ltd stores worldwide, as well as: Browns Focus and Harvey Nichols in London, L'Eclaireur in Paris, and Opening Ceremony in New York and LA, amongst other premium boutiques and stores.

I was really excited to hear that Melissa shoes are now being sold in the US! I think with an insole, they would dispell all the horrors of plastic shoes. So cute... and perfect for Valentine's Day coming up!
