Today's Eye on Style guest is Chico Hayasaki, one of my favorite fashion illustrators. Chico is as sweet as she is talented and I think you will enjoy meeting her!

Wearing: my favorite Zadig & Voltaire Cashmere sweater to go with my newest BUTTERO boots. I love wearing leggings throughout the year, and this time I decided to throw on some fake fur socks over them. I'm also wearing a pendant of my own design. This piece is called "Sparkling Night".

When I asked Chico what style means to her, she replied: simplicity, textural, free, fun...I don't really see style within a particular framework, I just wear what feels good to me and makes me happy. I have really sensitive skin, so any clothing that is well made and soft to the touch is an instant favorite of mine. My favorite materials are cashmere and gauze, but cashmere tends to be expensive so I've been collecting items slowly over time.

Recently, I've been getting into more feminine and cute clothes, but nothing too sweet - for casualwear I've been into mixing the feminine style with menswear looks, and on a rare occasion something a little sexy. I'm pretty selective about the clothes I buy. Sometimes the whole process can become really time consuming, but I think that that's half the fun. I feel like I've finally begun to embrace and enjoy fashion through my own personal style but I'm not as naturally inclined to dress up, but I hope to grow into that in the future.
