eye on style: ron keyson of wallpaper lab

My friend Ron is such a good sport and agreed to pose for Eye on Style even though he had no advance warning. I've known Ron a long time so I knew that despite the fact he had a long night and a bit of Bourbon to celebrate the launch of his new Christmas tree series for his company Wallpaper LAB, he'd still manage a rumpled chic look.

Ron Keyson; Williamsburg, NY
Occupation: art publisher/independent curator
Wearing: Brown twill coat by Brooks Brothers, black tee and button-down shirt from Uniqlo, Burton jeans and Vans.

"Style for me means absolute authority over myself - I am very disciplined about this - complete and total immersion into a persona that is absolutely me. My favorite designers are Brooks Brothers, Uniqlo, Burton and Vans."

You may remember that I interviewed Ron awhile back and was so enamored with the result of his Marilyn Minter Merry Merry Tree collaboration that I mounted the six foot die-cut wall-sticker over my bed. My friends tell me that it's very, um, me...I love it!

I'm excited to share Wallpaper LAB's latest artist collaborations for the holiday season. Fred Tomaselli, Phoebe Washburn and Markus Linnenbrink collaborated with Wallpaper LAB to create three new die-cut vinyl wall-stickers that address the powerful and ubiquitous symbol of the season: The Christmas Tree. According to Wallpaper LAB: "It's a Christmas tree for the moderately wealthy and the super lazy. Plus you'll save the trees, save water, save your back from schlepping it all the way home."

Personally, I have my eye on the Fred Tomeselli tree--it's just so Grinch Who Stole Christmas--but they're all great and I know you'll see one you want! (See below for info on where to get your tree).

Phoebe Washburn: Wood Wall As Safari Vest as Tree

Fred Tomaselli: Tree

Markus Linnenbrink: ACHARLIEBROWNCHRISTMASTREE

Hi there,
Love the ideas how do you get to be involved as an artists in such a project ?
