more milan highlights

In terms of Spring 09 clothes on the Milan runway, Gucci stole my heart. Although there was a bit of grumbling that Gucci is geared now just for the young jet-setter--and I will admit, after Tom Ford left, I did miss him and those wonderful shows and collections--I started thinking, what's wrong with making a collection that's young, chic and wearable?

I love the cut of the dress above and the color in the one below.

This dress just seems perfect for a young starlet on the red carpet.

The "New Jackie" bag at Gucci

As much as I loved looking at Dolce's bejeweled bags, Gucci's new updated slouchy one is something I would wear every day.

It was Matthew Williamson's last season for Emilio Pucci, and while the patterned prints are not my cup of tea, I love the simple solids that Pucci has always made (Marilyn Monroe had the dresses in every color).

I thought this Pucci bathing suit was very pretty and also the sparse white dress with multi-colored paillets.

At Marni it was signature boho chic--lots of dots and mixed patterns + the rare black Marni dress.

Loving the shots of peach in the mix.

Hope you're having a great week. Meet you back here tomorrow!
