Even though it took ten hours to get home from Sundance due to lots of snow at the airport this morning, I'm still glad I made the effort to break away for a girl's weekend. The change of scenery from beach to snow was a good one, and having never been to Sundance, I was pleasantly surprised.
I started out covering the gorgeous spa at Talisker (if you have a second, click on the website to view the beautiful photos Patrick Demarchelier shot). During the festival there are a slew of lounges set up along Main Street to entertain celebs and other Sundance entourage. Before I knew it, my friend Jen and I were hitting up all the beauty lounges in Park City where we got our hair and makeup done a few times, all kinds of pampering, plus lots of goodies and a few glasses of champagne along the way. Not a bad way to spend the weekend...
Jen put together the gift bags for the big bash where Moby performed and I got to meet some of her friends from Boulder and take in a pretty great party.
As you can see, despite my former feelings about Uggs, I crossed to the other side this weekend and fell in love with these gray lace up boots at Fred Segal At The Lift. They're made by Love From Australia and keep your toes warm and cozy when all other shoes fail miserably.
I finally understand why these are a must-have in the snow and I have to admit, getting a pair was one of the highlights of the trip. I also got a beautiful Andrew Marc bag at the Hollywood Life Lounge (next to the boots)--I usually only wear my own bags, but I couldn't resist this one!
I'll be writing more soon about Talisker and some of the great products and fashions I came across at Sundance, but for now it's just good to be home sweet home!
