we have a fidelity jeans winner!

Founder, designer, and president, with the responsibility of creative direction and vision for Fidelity Denim, Jason Trotzuk, is here today to answer the winning question in the Trust Your Style Fidelity Jeans Giveaway.

Fidelity's Belladonna mid-rise bootcut

And the winning question....is:

How should one choose the cut, wash and shape of the jeans in relation to the body type, height, and skin complexion? I'm petite, average build, and have a medium complexion--so what should I look for while buying my jeans??

jason: Go with your gut instinct. Feel comfortable in whatever you wear and you can pull it off with confidence. If you're tall you can wear anything and make it look great. For the shorter woman stick to the bootcut. It's always a winner and is timeless. If you're curvy go for a higher waisted jean with a bit of flare to accentuate your figure.

No matter what, always try on a bunch of pairs. Don't just buy a pair of jeans because of the brand name. Fit is key to getting a long life out of a pair of premium jeans.

The lucky Trust Your Style reader/Fidelity Jeans winner is Soma Bhattacharya, who lives in Chicago. Soma graduated with a Masters in Communication from Oklahoma City University in December 2006. She has been working in Chicago in a small consultancy firm in marketing plus freelancing for a local magazine, writing lifestyle columns, and will soon be volunteering for the Chicago Public Radio. Congratulations Soma, you have just won a great pair of jeans!

P. S. If you have your heart set on a pair of Fidelity Jeans, they are available online exclusively at www.revolveclothing.com and fyi, Fidelity is coming out with a men's line.

I'll be answering more of the jeans questions in the coming weeks and if you'd like to read a bit more about finding the perfect pair of jeans, you can check out an article I wrote about navigating the perplexing world of high-end denim by clicking here: Why Jeans Matter. Special thanks to Matt Meyerson who helped me put this together, Jason at Fidelity, and a super big thanks to all those readers who entered!

If you haven't yet entered the Trust Your Style Two Year Birthday Celebration slated for June 22, there's still time! Just email your name and address to maryjomatsumoto@adelphia.net with "Birthday Celebration" in the header.
