max green alchemy asks "are you feeding your skin junk food?"

mj: How did you first get involved with green/conscious manufacturing?
wil: I was working as a chartered accountant in London, 2000. Some friends asked if I would team up to open a natural health shop. At this time they were the passion behind the natural mission, and I was involved to provide business and financial know-how.
Over the next few year I found myself embracing the message of green and conscious manufacturing more and more. In 2002 I left my job as an accountant and started the groundwork for launching Max Green Alchemy with my business partner Dave Karlak.
mj: Why do you think it's important?
wil: Green and conscious manufacturing in personal care products is just an extension of the exciting trend first started in the farm and food industry. Our company asks Are you feeding your skin junk food? Consumers now understand the essence of this question as they turn away from petrochemical or synthetic laden products.

mj: Do you consider yourself to be a green consumer? If so, what are your favorite products (besides MGA)?
wil: Yes, I consider myself a greener consumer. Living in San Francisco has one immediate advantage--a comprehensive community run recycling scheme. My favorite brands include: Seventh Generation for its household products, Prius from Toyota (for trying to move the auto industry in a green direction), Trader Joe's for supporting local produce sources.
mj: Even better, could you tell me what skin care products you use during a typical day?
wil: In the morning I use MGA shower gelee to nourish and hydrate my skin and MGA Scalp Rescue Shampoo for manageability and shine. My absolute must product is MGA's elemeni face oil--its wonderful combination of Chilean rose hip seed oil and Bulgarian rose otto conspire as a pure intensive healing treatment for environmental damage, fine lines and wrinkles.
Here are some buzz words Wil looks for when choosing as a consumer: biodegradability, packaging recyclability, synthetic content, toxicity.
