Last summer I met Jason at his launch party at the Roosevelt Hotel where he generously let all the fashion editors try on his jeans and pick their favorite pair to take home. This was one of my first lessons in high-end denim (I remember I didn't even know my size and one of the girls handing out jeans rolled her eyes and asked me what I was in Citizens or 7s. Whaa? I later wrote an article, Why Jeans Matter, but obviously never quite got over the humiliation of being jeans illiterate... A year later, sadly for my pocketbook, I have a closet full of long slim jeans. And even though I have tasted and tried all the dark denim, magical names, status stiching to be had, Fidelity still has a special place in my heart.



Fidelity is regularly featured in tons of fashion mags and celebs like Lindsay Lohan, Debra Messing, Pink, and Michelle Kwan wear them, but truthfully all I really care about is that they fit my butt better than any pair I own--which means they've really earned their status as the comfort food of my wardrobe. I think every woman has a pair of jeans she wears when nothing else is working--whether it's a bad hair day, bizarre break-out, or an oops, pants too tight day...you know what I'm talking about...I must've been having such a day last week because I was wandering around Anthropology (a sure sign that I'm in retail therapy mode) and a girl ran up to me screaming oh my god, I luuuv your jeans! I was of course wearing my trusty pair of Fidelitys. So thanks Jason for being a jeans genuis!

A) THE FOUR MOST STYLISH PEOPLE THAT INFLUENCED/INSPIRED ME:
1.Madonna...one word Fashion Couture Rock!!!!
2.Lady Diana... one word "Impeccable" simply the best dressed woman of our times
3.Tom Ford...the man in Black, Sharp!!!

B) FOUR WAYS THAT STYLE MAKES THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE:
1. It is always the bright spot in a sometimes gloomy day
2. It affects everyone and everyone can be a part of!!!!
3. Style influences art/ design/ creativity...It is 1 of 4 essentials that defines our society.
4. Styles defines people...it is the window to their personality

C) FOUR OF MY FAVORITE DESIGNERS:
1. Ralph Lauren...the only true American Design house that defined American style
2. Alexander McQueen...5 levels beyond any designer out there....
3. Chanel.... Modern day classic with and eye for simplistic timeless tradition
4. Jerome Dahan. (Citizens of Hum) redefined blue jeans in the 00's and forward.

D) FOUR JOBS I HAVE HAD IN MY LIFE: In reverse order (ending with most current
There are a million of them...I could not keep a job for more than 2 weeks at a time)
1. Naked water park Lifeguard (no kidding)
2. Seafood Delivery boy
3. Hand painted blue jeans and sold them for $$$$ in high end boutiques
4. Hollywood handsome denim designer

E) FOUR MOVIES I WOULD WATCH OVER AND OVER (AND DO):
I love the movies you can get lost in every time and go to another place
1. Pirates of the Caribbean...The first one, so magical, the cast, the feeling, the reference to the ride, classic Disney cheese, but it worked because of the amazing cast
2. Indiana Jones I..the first of its kind the ultimate summer adventure, non stop....at every turn, completely original and nothing has come close since.
3. Any Pixar movie (Nemo, Incredibles, Monsters) absolutely amazing works, they have taken computer animation and have made it moving art, every scene is a work of magic
4. Pulp Fiction: so entertaining, so different, so original, so bad ass, classic Cinema, Classic Tarantino
5. PRETTY WOMAN: where is the Julia Roberts of today???? They don't make movies like this anymore!

F) FOUR PLACES WHERE I HAVE LIVED:
1. VANCOUVER...always the best place in the world, and one of the top places in the world to live
2. LAS VEGAS...Where the 4 corners of America all come to meet, American Capitalism in it's Republican Glory....Power, entertainment, exploitation...a city in the middle of the desert, so surreal

G) FOUR TV SHOWS I LOVE TO WATCH:
1. ENTOURAGE....the best pseudo reality
2. Anything VH1...oh! Keep up to date, American pop culture in your living room 24/7!!!
3. WEATHER CHANNEL...need to know what the weather is going to be
4. CNN... Middle east conflict, Iraq, Afghanistan, psycho Post Office employees, Corporate scandals...and it's all real, you just can't beat it!!!

H) FOUR PLACES I HAVE BEEN ON VACATION IN THE LAST FOUR YEARS:
1. NEW YORK...the best city in the world period
2. HONG KONG...the future is the orient, a new world being born, the modern nuances will blow anyone away!!!!!
3. SOUTH BEACH...One of the best kept jewels...the Cuban Influence mixed with New York Social elite...
4. HAWAII...got married there, Magical, fragile, totally relaxing....the best

3. MY SPACE....well duh!!!! I need to be "in the know"
