ONE GOOD BUMBLEBEE

I always read One Good Bumblebee, especially on the days that I just can't look at one more fashion/design site. Somehow One Good Bumblebee, with its bright, funky, fun perspective, is the perfect antidote to the dark fashion world of Fall '06 that we're heading into. If that's not enough, Katey also writes That's Hot, a round-up of the hippest & coolest fashion/design stuff. She's also one of my favorite paper designers and her stuff gets all kinds of great write-ups, like the recent one in Daily Candy.

A) THE FOUR MOST STYLISH PEOPLE THAT INFLUENCED ME

1. My mom - She's super hip but in a classy way. I hope to god I'm just like her when I'm her age.
2. I was just trying to think of someone that sums up a certain style that I love and I came up with Todd Oldham. Haha. I just adore his mid-century aesthetics and his sense of fun. I would've said Eames but that sounded too cliche.
3. Hello Kitty. Or rather the entire Japan cuteness phenomenon. I'm just totally drawn to everything the Japanese design and create. It's very inspiring for me.
4. OK I'll go ahead and say Martha Stewart. Who isn't influenced by Martha Stewart? Her clean, fresh sense of style is perfection.


B) FOUR WAYS THAT STYLE MAKES THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE

1. It brings out creativity, individuality, and innovation.
2. Without style we'd be robots.
3. Without style my hair would always look like it does right now which is just after waking up. Eww!
4. Without style there would be no opinions. The world needs arguments.
